USDA announces Oct. 1 as deadline to participate in accreditation program

WASHINGTON, Aug. 23, 2011 — The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) today announced to the public that veterinarians who are currently accredited in the National Veterinary Accreditation Program (NVAP) may continue to perform accredited duties and may elect to continue to participate in the NVAP until Oct. 1, 2011.

USDA extends deadline for National Veterinary Accreditation Program

WASHINGTON, Sept. 28, 2010 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has extended the deadline for accredited veterinarians to elect to participate in the National Veterinary Accreditation Program (NVAP) until further notice. Currently, accredited veterinarians must elect to continue their participation in the NVAP in order to maintain accredited status.

Changes to USDA veterinary accreditation program to begin in February

The National Veterinary Accreditation Program (NVAP) is implementing changes to its program, effective Feb. 1. These changes have been in development since 2004 and are intended to address the needs of the increasingly complex and fast-paced world of animal health, business, trade, and travel.
