Sales tax workshop added to MVC program

Few issues generate more questions and confusion in veterinary practices than those relating to the proper collection and payment of Ohio sales tax. Which products in a veterinary facility are taxable? What about prescription versus over-the-counter drugs? How does the resale exemption work?

On Thursday, Feb. 24, (1:30 to 3 p.m.) John Trippier and Steve Russell of the Ohio Department of Taxation’s Audit Division will present important information as well as answer your questions on the proper administration of sales tax in veterinary facilities.

While this workshop is offered at the Midwest Veterinary Conference, you do not have to be attending the MVC to participate, and there is no additional fee for OVMA members or individuals from their staff. This workshop is worth one hour of non-scientific CE credit.

Please register for this workshop online. The deadline to register for this program is Feb. 18.
