Technician students invited to apply for 5 for 5 scholarship

5for5-logo-RGBDuring the OVMA’s annual Midwest Veterinary Conference, $5 from every technician registration is set aside for a scholarship fund for technician students. In 2014, the OVMA will award five $500 scholarships to technician students at four Ohio colleges.

The OVMA invites all Student Members to apply for the second annual Leadership in Veterinary Medicine Scholarship, established to acknowledge and advance the importance of organized veterinary medicine at all stages of a veterinarian’s career.

The scholarship, a $500 award paid directly to OSU’s office of Fees and Deposits, is only available to current OSU College of Veterinary Medicine students in good academic standing who are also Student Members of the OVMA.

OVMA selects Scipioni as recipient of leadership award

Catherine Scipioni has been selected as the recipient of the 2010-11 OVMA Leadership in Veterinary Medicine Scholarship.

The scholarship was established to honor Immediate Past President Dr. John Weale and his contributions to the organization. It recognizes one OVMA Student Member who exhibits strong leadership skills and a passion for veterinary medicine.

Pfizer and AVMF invites second- and third-year vet students to apply for 2011 scholarship

Pfizer Animal Health and the American Veterinary Medical Foundation invite veterinary students to apply for the second annual Student Scholarship Program. Approximately 250 scholarships of $2,500 each will be awarded to assist students in paying for their professional education, addressing rising school debt and its impact on the veterinary profession.
