Make your voice heard by becoming a member of OVMA's grassroots club.

One of OVMA's government relations department's main goals is to reinvigorate its grassroots efforts. The term "grassroots" is often misunderstood, but it simply means ordinary people having an extraordinary impact by joining together and speaking as one unified voice. While financial contributions certainly help, simply speaking up can have just as significant an impact.

Although OVMA staff do and will continue to spend a lot of time at the Statehouse educating the administration and General Assembly on the importance of veterinary medicine, we need your help. Every phone call, every email from you—the constituent—will make a difference.

Can we count on you to be our partner?

While Ohio lawmakers will continue hearing from us at the OVMA, there is no better way to move the needle on an issue than a constituent contacting his or her legislator directly. You can have an impact by joining our new grassroots club, which will be comprised of members like you who are willing to reach out to their elected officials as relevant issues arise. To make it as painless as possible, we will provide talking points and easy-to-use technology that links you directly to your elected officials.

As a member of this club, you'll also receive regular updates on what's going on in the General Assembly and other regulatory bodies, as well as information on key issues that will impact not only veterinary medicine itself, but you personally.
