Scioto Trail Animal Clinic is a productive, well-established practice nestled in the gateway of a welcoming Appalachian small town. We are seeking one associate (part time or full time) veterinarian to join our circus of dedicated staff. Are you a caring, energetic individual who is interested in practicing high-quality medicine in a busy, small-animal practice? Are you interested in joining a team devoted to continuing education to provide the best care possible to everything from a beloved family farm dog to the local college student’s treasured service feline? Are excellent office snacks an undeniable and prominent extra perk (full candy bars, my friend. Full. Bars.)? If so, you may have found your new home away from home here at STAC. Scioto Trail Animal Clinic has served our community since its origination in 1938, and has since cemented its reputation as a caring and compassionate practice filled with friendly staff in a family-like environment. We offer comprehensive and appropriate health care and prevention to our patients, never forgetting that working with the client as a team will provide their patient with the best care they need and deserve. If you have ever wished to work in a technologically advanced practice with all the benefits of small-town living, look no further. Our practice is situated a couple hours’ drive from the bustling urban centers of Cincinnati and Columbus, and is striving to improve the access to advanced diagnostics that our patients can receive here at home, such as digital x-ray and dental x-ray, new dental equipment, ultrasound, TonoVet Plus, cautery, therapy laser, full monitoring capability, and full in-house Idexx lab equipment, which allows us to make extensive use of a variety of patient-side tests, as well as the reference lab. Any associate would of course have the opportunity to field some large animal work should they be interested, but large animal work and experience is not a requirement. NO AFTER HOURS/ON CALL RESPONSIBILITIES. The perfect candidates for this position are flexible, friendly and upbeat, responsive to both owners and pets, caring, hard-working, and highly motivated. Beyond that, we are seeking eager, energetic associates with good people skills to join our fun-loving team and family. For sharing your talents with us, we offer a competitive salary based on experience and part-time/full-time status with generous opportunities to earn production bonuses. In addition, we offer health insurance stipends, paid AVMA Professional Liability Insurance, paid veterinarian and DEA license fees, vacation, annual continuing education allowance, and IRA with room for reasonable negotiations. New graduates, as well as experienced veterinarians are welcome and encouraged to enquire or apply. To do so, contact Dr. Jillian Salisbury at (740) 353-2280, or send your resume to [email protected]. We look forward to sharing our mission, our family, and our excellent snack pantry with you.
