The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for an open associated faculty position in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences for a position in Shelter Medicine, at Columbus Humane. The Shelter Surgery and Medicine program has been located at Columbus Humane since 2015 and developed strong partnership over the years.

Position Overview

The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences is seeking Instructor – Practice faculty who will be responsible for patient management and the instruction of basic live-animal surgical skills (spay/neuter) to fourth year veterinary students in the Shelter Surgery and Medicine Rotation. The successful candidate will be assigned activities at Columbus Humane, and distribution of effort is to be 90% clinical teaching with some administrative time to input grades and provide evaluative and summative student feedback, and some time for personal and professional development.

Candidate Qualifications/Attributes

Candidates must possess a DVM degree and basic live-animal surgical skills.
