COLUMBUS, OHIO \u2014 OCT. 15, 2025 \u2014 The Ohio Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Sileargy as its new Director of Meetings & Events. Lisa brings 27 years of events management experience to the OVMA, where she will be responsible for overseeing the planning of the Midwest Veterinary Conference (MVC), the fifth largest veterinary convention in North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m very pleased to have Lisa join our OVMA team,\u201d said Executive Director Chris Henney. \u201cHer experience, knowledge, and passion will be a wonderful asset to not only the Association itself, but also the Midwest Veterinary Conference.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lisa brings to OVMA a wealth of event planning, continuing education, and association experience from her tenures at respected organizations like the Ohio Society of CPAs and the Association of College & University Housing Officers International. Most recently, she spent 10 years at the Ohio Bar Association, where she was deeply involved in the planning, development, promotion and execution of in-person, hybrid and virtual events, including the organization\u2019s annual meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m thrilled to join the OVMA team and contribute to its work in supporting the veterinary medical community,\u201d said Lisa, who joined the team in mid-September. \u201cThe Midwest Conference is already a well-established and respected event, and I truly look forward to collaborating with all the stakeholders to explore new ideas and opportunities as we plan for the future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lisa lives in Columbus with her husband Dan and their cat, Merlin. In addition to being a certified meeting planner (CMP), Lisa holds a master\u2019s degree from the University of Toledo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
