She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, a Master\u2019s in Public Health degree in Epidemiology, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University (OSU). She has been a passionate advocate about the important role veterinarians play in Public Health. After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Davila-Martin practiced mixed animal medicine in rural Ohio and now is the new veterinary epidemiologist at the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA). Outside of work, Dr. Davila-Martin indulges in her creative art life such as painting, and spends time with her family and friends, and her cat, Nox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"guest-bio wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, during her student years, Dr. Davila-Martin was highly active in the Buckeye Hispanic\/Latinx community, serving as the president of OSU Puerto Rican Student Association during her undergraduate years, program associate for OSU\u2019s Latine Student Success center during her Master\u2019s, and founder and president for OSU-College of Veterinary Medicine\u2019s first Latinx in Vet Med group.
