Two brands of raw dog food recalled due to Salmonella contamination

Both Carnivore Meat Company and TruDog have issued recalls of specific lots of raw dog foods due to possible Salmonella contamination. All of the recalled products were manufactured in the same production facility. No illnesses have been reported at this time.

The following items are being recalled:

Vital Essentials Freeze-Dried Beef Toppers

• Best by dates of 06/01/2019, 06/04/19, and 06/20/19

Vital Essentials Frozen Beef Chub Entrée for Dogs
• 5 lb.
• Lot #13816
• Best by date of 12/27/18
• UPC 033211008817

TruDog Boost Me Mighty Meaty Beef Topper Meal Enhancer (Booster)
• Lot #20190531 13815.

Carnivore is advising consumers who have purchased the recalled products to discontinue feeding and safely discard them. Customers may contact the retailers where they purchased the products for a replacement or refund. Any questions may be directed to the company at 920-370-6542.

TruDog asks its customers to call the company at 800-476-8808 to request a refund or exchange.
