Special Kitty wet food recalled for ‘health concerns’

The J. M. Smucker Company is voluntarily recalling specific lots of Special Kitty® canned cat food, which may contain ingredients “believed to not meet the company’s quality and safety standards” that may cause potential health concerns. The company did not specify what the ingredients in question were, but warned that ingestion of the product could cause “nausea with excessive salivation, diarrhea or vomiting to more severe symptoms including difficulty walking, seizures and, in extreme situations, death.”

The specific product is Special Kitty® Mixed Grill Dinner Pate, which was sold individually and as part of variety packs. If pet owners have any of the products below in their possession, they should stop feeding it to their cats and dispose of the product.
